Performances

As a multidisciplinary artist I developed an interest for performance art, using my body, movement, and voice as expressive tools. My journey into performance began during university, where I discovered its potential for experimentation. Since then, I have developed my practice by exploring different themes and pushing the boundaries of presence, vulnerability, and expression.

“A fight with my voice” (2019)

This performance is an intimate exploration of voice, limitation, and resilience. Standing before a camera, I navigate the boundaries of my own voice—both physically and emotionally. Singing has always been a passion, yet I faced discouragement and developed an emotional blockage around it. Later, I discovered a congenital cyst on my vocal cords, confirming the silent struggle I had long suspected. This piece gives form to that inner conflict, transforming frustration and pain into an act of expression and self-acceptance.

In this performance, I confront my own limitations—both emotional and physical—through an embodied struggle. Standing before an audience, I explore my voice while another person represents the barriers that have held me back. This figure becomes a physical manifestation of my restrictions, engaging in a silent fight with me as I attempt to express myself. Over time, the tension shifts, and as I reclaim control, the presence of my limitations fades. This performance is not only a confrontation but also a resolution—an act of perseverance and liberation.

This performance raises awareness of the five massive plastic islands floating in our oceans. As I deliver a talk about these environmental disasters, the audience is invited to participate by attaching pieces of trash to my body. Without hesitation, people engage in the act, gradually covering me in waste until I become a living representation of the overwhelming plastic pollution crisis. The performance highlights the weight of human impact on the environment, making the issue tangible and unavoidable. Performed twice in 2019
