Listen Inside (2020) is a sound art project developed in collaboration with Ana Domínguez, exploring the act of listening as a means of experiencing the world with greater awareness. Through experimentation with water and amplified sound, we investigated subtle, often unnoticed sonic interactions between water and everyday materials. Working remotely, we exchanged listening exercises, each guiding the other in a process of discovery through sound.
This exploration was not just about sound itself but about shifting our perception—slowing down to pay attention to what is often overlooked. By sharing our recorded soundscapes and inviting the audience to participate in active listening, we encouraged a collective reflection on presence, awareness, and the rhythms of contemporary life. The project extended beyond traditional artistic frameworks, integrating shared experience and participatory encounters to explore how listening can foster a deeper connection with ourselves and our surroundings.
The final artwork was translated into an immersive experience where participants could explore the experimentation of how water would sound on different elements, engaging with the sonic textures we had uncovered.
